Biomass energy also provides higher incomes to struggling farmers as the value of crops used for energy production are valued higher than food crops. According to the UCSCSA , tripling the use of biomass energy in the United States can provide $20 billion to farmers and reduce global warming.  It is important to note that all the byproduct waste from biomass energy is easily disposed of and biodegradable.
